Christmas Eve in Spokane, 2021

A great tradition--for over 30 years--here at KPBX is our presentation of seasonal choral concerts from area colleges and universities. This year, as ensembles return to public performance after a long COVID drought, we have an especially rich and well-sung evening to share with you Friday evening, Christmas Eve, from 7 to midnight.

Here is the schedule of performances: Gonzaga University, beginning at 7; Eastern Washington University, beginning around 8:40; North Idaho College, beginning around 9:40; and Whitworth University, beginning around 10:25.

We invite you to settle in and enjoy the entire evening, or to drop in as your travels and activities permit. Either way, you are in for a Yuletide treat! Pick us up on-air at 91.1 or catch the program online at spokanepublicradio.org.

After more than 25 years of teaching music, theater and English in San Francisco schools, Jim relocated to Spokane in 1995 to become organist/music director for St. Augustine Parish on the South Hill. Since around 2004, with the help and patience of Verne Windham, he has been able to realize his long-standing dream of doing radio. Jim specializes in classical music, but also can do the occasional jazz show. Jim and his wife, Carol, fill their free time caring for llamas, rabbits and chickens after having watched their two children grow up and leave the nest.
