Dr. Sophia Tegart, Clinical Assistant Professor of Flute at Washington State University's School of Music, visited with Verne about the many celebrations of the flute that are happening on the Palouse campus this month, including WSU Flute Day on Saturday, October 12. On October 18, the 100-year Celebration of Dick Kattenburg, a composer who died in a concentration camp, she will
play his flute sonata. While in the studio, Sophia played two pieces live: Katherine Hoover's Winter Spirits for solo flute, and CPE Bach's Sonata in A Minor, Movement 2.
